The inauguration of the  Newgate Street Clock was carried out by The Rt. Hon the Lord Mayor of London, Alderman John Stuttard on Thursday 31st May 2007 at half-past eleven in the morning. The Lord Mayor was accompanied by pikemen, fife and drums. The Master and Wardens of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers were in attendance, together with many livery men and freemen of the Company.
