THE NEWGATE STREET CLOCK:

LINKS

No other electro-mechanical public clock in the world is thought to have been  built to drive a "wandering hour dial", like that of the Newgate Street Clock. A five foot wandering hour dial is however planned as one of four demonstration dials, to be made  by the students of The University of Florida and fitted to a turret clock by Howard built in 1913. It is hoped that the dial will be installed in December 2007
